I just bought a 2008 Mercury Mariner about a month ago. A couple of times the Traction Control light came on from when I started it, until I turned it off (5-30 minutes.) Then it didn't come on for days. Does anyone know what the problem could be??

 

TC is an automatic function and the switch just defeats that function so something is wrong.
