Thumbs up My 78 SC F350 4x4 Dually Build

Here is my progress

Let the tear down begin!




Off with the fenders.




Rat turds everywhere in the engine bay.




Grille gone




Off with the hood






Inner skirts removed 351M is nasty




Passenger side view A/C Box with Duck Tape




Core Support removed man was it a pain in the ****.




Drivers View




Passenger View and a barely standing garage full of my landlords crap




working on giving inner skirts a new coat of paint




Nasty has like 20 years of dirt caked on them, A/C box gone




Made this delete to fill in that big hole. Aircraft aluminum




Closed up Stainless Steel Button Heads hold it in place.

Started Painting the firewall

After Getting Advice on here. The glass is removed




Sanding the Firewall




Pain is the **** bends

picking up my new dash and steering column tomorrow the entire thing is coming from a 04 f150

Started cutting the welds on the front center section of my old frame will post pics when done. f350 2wd frame will be here in a couple of weeks hopefully will have everything welded in and have a dana 60 sitting under it

What is the plan to lift the cab? At least use REAL ratchet straps....

Just copy and pasting some ideas from other FTE folks, that's all. Personally I would NOT trust that seat belt piece to handle the SC cab weight.

And if you are going to have the cab on them jack stands for a while, like doing the rust repair, I would swap over to a 2x4 or 4x4 square box support set up.

Just be safe.

i set it on the jack stands temporarly to use my hoist on the old frame
