My water pump has been weeping for a while now so I finally did the IH pump install. So far so good. I really like the fact that it helps clean up the engine bay somewhat as opposed to cluttering it more. There are positives and negatives to doing this pump vs the bypass filter and vice versa. They've been discussed on here several times. I decided from those discussions that the pump itself is what I wanted. I also took the opportunity to replace the coolant recovery tank, thermostat, thermostat housing, and swap the fan blade for a 6.0L fan. There are several how to's running around so this is just my build sheet and a few pics. I'll report back in the future with any pertinent findings. Hopefully it helps someone.



No more heater hose running across the top of the alternator.



Looking down. I decided to paint it "Ford gray". Did the reinforcement ring on the tstat housing and the FPR supports too. It's hard to match a color to the toreador red so I figured gray was as good as any.



Looking up. Plenty of room to get at the filter and shutoff valve.



Another looking down. The 6.0 fan fits nicely. Not sure if it is me or reality but it seems to really hum when the engine is revved.
