Do I need a fuel regulator?

Several months ago I asked a fuel pump question and got some great responses. Then I got busy and am just getting around to updating my fuel pump. The original recommendation called for an Airtex fuel pump and a fuel regulator. It recently occured to me that since I have a Holley carb I may not need the regulator. The carb is a pretty vanilla 4bbl model I'd love to hear anyones thoughts on this topic.

The original thread is here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...mp-set-up.html

Thanks,
John W.
