Haha yea I should have researched my turbo options. That one kind of blind sided me. But I will make up the money by rebuilding my front diff myself. Nothing broke just needs new axle seals(both sides leak) outer dust seals and bearings repacked. Did rear diff last year.

side to side play is normal as long as it dont hit the housing and in and out play is bad. all journal bearing turbos have side to side play from the factory as there needs to be a small gap between the shaft and bearing for oil flow

Good news. There was a mix up at the shop and they did not order the replacement stock turbo. So I ordered the bolt in d66 turbo. My injectors are shot so I could use some ideas for an injector that would be compatible with this turbo. Also will be installing 4" down pipe and exhaust.

A nice set of stage ones would work well. Unless you want to do a lot of modifying of the firewall/floor, you should just get a 3 inch downpipe. Most of them are for these trucks.

Those Rosewood stage ones do look good. The shop said a 4' down pipe was just some port a power work on the fire wall/ floor. So there is a little more to it?

You can get a 3" DP in there with a port-a-power, but to get a 4" in there you need to tunnel the firewall. It's doable but a big job and not really worth IMO it unless you're shooting for more than 600 HP.

And yeah, 2x for the D66 and a set of Rosewood stage 1's. You'll be real happy with that setup.

No way can the firewall/floor be pushed that far without ripping it.

Just about every 4" exhaust system will come with a 3" dp

Thanks for the info, he probably meant 3"dp and I assumed it would be 4". I cant wait to see the power difference the truck will have with these upgrades.
