Thanks everyone! I finally got the bed put back together this weekend. Man that is a chore. I love how it turned out. My brother in law sprayed the finish I just sanded them. We added just a touch of color. These arent the original boards to the truck but are original to the restoration. About 30 or so years old. I think they turned out great. the ends toward the cab had just a touch of rot but mostly under the rails so you cant see it. Polished the Stainless strips and painted the bolt heads gloss black. I also re-painted the inside of the bed sides while the wood was out. Im not really happy how it turned out so I may redo it sometime. Its a lot better than all scratched up so for now Im OK with it.

I like the dark looking woodgrain. It goes well with the black truck.

thanks!

heres the interior. I need to add more padding in the seat. It sits a little too low on the drivers side. I had been thinking about getting a modern seat but I havent decided yet.

And here is the not so pretty part. This is the next project. I need to tidy up the wiring and replace some of it. Also do a good cleaning and re paint some pieces. The odometer was set to 0 at the restoration. It shows 46k miles now. The truck was towed quite a bit behind a motor home and honestly I dont know if the miles tick off when its being towed. Either way the motor is strong and idles very smooth.
