Any way to disable the locks from locking when the truck is started?

I believe this is putting unnecessary wear on the lock motors, and realty isn't necessary at all in my opinion. Is there any way I can disable this feature?
My friend said his truck does not do this.

^ that. Or, program the alarm so it doesn't lock the doors.

What the others said. Mine doesn't do it and I am SO happy for that.

Wife's new car does it... and the worst part is that the inside door handle doesn't override the lock . So when you want out you have to push the button, and THEN pull the handle... Stupidest thing I have ever seen... A total step backwards if you ask me.

^x2 I love that feature of our truck; it locks and unlocks when we want it to and can still override the lock by simply pulling the handle inside. My parents cars lock automatically same with a lot of the cars we get in at work and I absolutely hate it.

So I'm NOT the only one that thinks that is agrivating. I'm not sure what the logic is for not having the drivers inside door handle override the power lock, it doesn't need to and probably shouldn't do so on the other doors and rear doors for sure, but once you get used to having that feature it's incredibly frustrating to drive a vehicle that doesn't have it.

well I don't know about the drivers door handle but the back ones are because the companies decided it was safer to do that rather than add child locks to the door that you can at least turn off. the way I figure it if a parent doesn't teach junior that he will get scrambled on the highway if he opens the door while moving, if they are going slow enough to even open the door its not the car's fault.
