need help

Im not new to fords but new to changing motors is there anything I need to know before I start taking it out its a 98 f-150 4x4

Depending on what your end game is, the top of the motor usually has to come off first to get room to move or take the front end apart to move forward.
A lot different than a car.

The only thing that really needs replaced is the block because there is a hole the size of a quarter on cylinder 4 but I figured might as well change the whole motor
