My Ex (03) doesn't have any rattling issues or rubbing on the barn doors, so figured I'd see if I could help identify what bushings might keep the hatch from contacting the doors.
Here's what mine has as far as bumpers to keep the hatch out of the barn doors. You can see where the rubber bumpers land on the doors. I'd think the plugs should be fairly easy to find.
Those bumpers are Expensive for what they are though. I was going to buy a couple from the dealer when I lost one but after finding out the price I only bought the one I was missing. I think is was like $10 or something. Just expensive for what it is!
That said you could always just buy a rubber bench block, cut it, and attach it to your door.
In a few weeks (I know that's not soon) once my situation gets straightened out I'll leap into the fray and see about either making some of these or finding something that will be a perfect OEM fit. I'll set something up and hopefully I can make/put together sets and send them out (Conus) for around $15 shipped Basically what it cost to cover shipping and cost. I would love to see everyone be able to keep their trucks a little nicer for a lot longer
Do 3d printers make soft rubber parts yet? You could make a fortune making and selling aftermarket rubber pieces with one. A lot of those pieces on older vehicles aren't made any more.
No they do not Already way ahead of you on that one. ABS plastic is the norm, but soft rubber has to be fired as of now. In a few years I know we'll be there though. I don't follow it much so I could be wrong if it's changed recently but AFAIK it's not possible
Just called my parts guy and I don't think he gave me the correct part number. He said 374217S - which is the bumper for an Expedition not the Excursion according to Autonation White Bear
I'll see if I can find the P/N from when I bought them.
