Rear hatch rubbing barn doors down

What I noticed from the photos of the red ex posted earlier, is my ex doesn't have the set of three holes running the very top, where one stopper is there an one is missing. My x lacks that feature all together. As you can see in this photo, the black shine of the paint is all rubbed off due to coming in contact with barn doors there's where it's hitting eachother and causing damage. Do you think adjusting height of barn doors might help?
Mine is an 01, it seems like the pics we having on here so far, are all different styles!

His sig says '01. Mine is an '03, so it looks like ford figured out it was a problem. The other holes (without the stoppers) i'm assuming are drain holes. The two stoppers on the sides (one on each side) of the liftgate are exactly the same as the two next to the glass.
Now, i'm just guessing here but that weatherstrip next to your glass could be sitting in and/or attached to the same two holes I have the bump stops in (although i'm missing one).

Sorry to bring this back alive... but just wondering if someone has found a viable source or different solution. Called greensales and they said there is about a 99% chance they will never see this part in stock again.
