What I noticed from the photos of the red ex posted earlier, is my ex doesn't have the set of three holes running the very top, where one stopper is there an one is missing. My x lacks that feature all together. As you can see in this photo, the black shine of the paint is all rubbed off due to coming in contact with barn doors there's where it's hitting eachother and causing damage. Do you think adjusting height of barn doors might help?

Mine is an 01, it seems like the pics we having on here so far, are all different styles!

My hatch doesn't look like this at all. What year is yours?

His sig says '01. Mine is an '03, so it looks like ford figured out it was a problem. The other holes (without the stoppers) i'm assuming are drain holes. The two stoppers on the sides (one on each side) of the liftgate are exactly the same as the two next to the glass.

Now, i'm just guessing here but that weatherstrip next to your glass could be sitting in and/or attached to the same two holes I have the bump stops in (although i'm missing one).

Mine is also an 01 and looks nothing like his at all. Any quick ways to tell if an 01 was a late production or early production model? I can't believe how greatly these differ within the same year. We will have to take ours outside in the light for a better view. Thinking a hinge adjustment on doors may help, since we don't even have the holes for stoppers. Time To get creative!

Add another to the rubbing group right here.

I'll snap a pic of my 05 to see how different it is...

Here is the technical service bulletin on adding the rubber bumpers between the hatch and the barn doors:

Sorry to bring this back alive... but just wondering if someone has found a viable source or different solution. Called greensales and they said there is about a 99% chance they will never see this part in stock again.

Also...

O'Reilly's recommend these which come up as the replacement / cross reference part for the Ford part number:
Amazon.com: Energy Suspension 9.9155G Black Rear Axle Bump Stop Set: Automotive Amazon.com: Energy Suspension 9.9155G Black Rear Axle Bump Stop Set: Automotive

Looks like a suspension product. They swear it's replacement for the door.

Hell no that won't work, that thing is bigger than my... errrr, let's just say they're compensating for something and leave it at that. (and why do they have to specify "Black"?!?)

As the title says, it's a rear axle bump stop. Which is good because I need to order a set. I'm also wondering what my rear hatch looks like, I never paid any attention to it.
