Outstanding work Brad. Looks fantastic!!

One of the benefits of bed side replacement is you can get the inner and outer panels thoroughly prepped and painted for protection. Without removing bed sides you just can't get to those inner areas.

And I noticed you did not remove the tail gate hinge mounts....

I did, I aligned the bedsides and fitted the tailgate BEFORE I actually glued them in place. Then painted, then reattached the hardware scratching the base paint

I went back and looked at pics again and I see you took tail gate hardware off when painting.

I went ahead and adjusted my tail gate then jabbed it out; took many hours to get that tail aligned correctly. I let the hinge mounts be body color cause didn't think I could effective mask them off. But they look pretty good. Now no worries after final paint:

I carefully pulled the masking tape right after the last coat of clear.

Nope. It was standard behind 4.9 and 5.0

This is a 5.0 w 3.55s. It has some rust but Very fixable

My buddy in CO just found me another but that is aPLAIN XL . Even has a bench seat

5.slow? Sounds like a good candidate for a 6 leaker/superduty swap!

Brad, how are those frame reinforcement pieces working out on the ccsb?

I would take a 5.0 over a 4.9 any day. My brother had 96 f150 4.9/5speed with 4.10s, 33s. My bronco would KILL his truck and get better fuel milage doing it.

Plates are working good

Agreed on the 5.0 vs. 4.9. I've had both in F150s. I did like the 4.9 for what it was, especially with a 5 speed, but I liked my 5.0 a lot better.

Now, about that 6.0 swap....
