Thinking of selling 1996 F250 crewcab, shortbed 460

I am toying with the idea of selling my 1996 F250 XLT, crewcab, shortbed gas. It has 115k miles and is in great shape. Curious to know everyone's thoughts on what the market is like for this truck, going rate, etc. I am in the Pacific Northwest.

Vehicle market value varies widely. To me your model is highly desirable. I am a huge gas engine fan versus a diesel. Check with a few online places (Auto trader, NADA, KBB, etc.) to see what they show as fair market value for your area.

It all boils down to what someone is willing to pay. Rust free, low mileage and documented service will pull a premium price.

Bought my 1995 F250 5.8 2x4 XLT about 6 months ago and paid 2300.00. Seller was in Tacoma. Has 134K on it. Had good canopy, new tires, new brakes - - a real creampuff. But I looked long and hard and found a guy who was hurtin. Saw several 460's some were obviously made of gold and some were not (judging by the prices asked). My thought is 3500 to 4000 if 2x4 add 750 if 4x4. Shortbed crews are well sought after.

I have that exact truck and with the gas its going to be in between $3500k-$6500 I would think. Know one wants something that gets 9mpg empty unfortunately. I just put 3k in mine rebuilding the motor and trans and I will never get that money back. Oh well

I would say between the 4 to 5 thousand mark. I live in oregon and see them all the time for around that price. Of course condition will make all the difference.

In SoCal if 4x4 you can get huge money. I have seen some with similar miles going for $8-10k.
