1997 5.4 fuel injector question
Today I changed the passenger side COPS [new accel super coils 140032]the plugs ,Motorcraft AGSF22FSM and the injectors. I got rebuilt Bosch Injectors off of ebay. Took 5 plus hours. Truck is just about to turn 70,000 miles and I bought it new.Started it and I had a miss, noticed I forgot to plug in the pcv, fixed that ,took it on the road and there is stumbling from the 1000 to 2000 rpm range.Ran it for less than ten minues, let it set for an hour or so and decided to look at plugs 1 and 2 on pass side, they are reasonably easy to pull.Pulled off both new COPs and plugs,Swapped the COPS with 2 other new ones to see if that makes a difference,it does not.My question is will these Bosch fuel injectors cause this because they are only on that side now.Could this cause an imbalance?Tomorrow I was going to look at plugs 3 and 4.Also I am waiting for a trouble code to appear. I even wondered as to whether or not injectors 3 and 4 could have each other's wired plug. Any suggestions,Thanks KR

17 yr old truck
Truck is 17 yrs old and in those 17 years I have replaced 2 injectors and two COPS due to codes also since I had the cops off I thought to replace their respective plugs. Had some time on my hands and am going for a complete tuneup.17 yrs of wear and tear and weather ages us all.thanx

To offer a perspective on this situation, the system is computer controlled.
When you go replacing parts without good justification by actual failure and code, you open yourself to making problems you may not have had before you started.
My suspicion is you got bad coils. The super coils are not a good choice for replacement.
They have high failure rates and often NG out of the box.
For coils removed from that bank, replace them back in if there was no known misfire issue with them.
Injectors seldom go bad.
What you have at this time is unknown issues to sort out.
A Scanner with ability to look at live data would tell you a lot about the situation.
I have 214,000 on and never had an injector go bad. A couple sets of plugs and some coils and boots, for overall common issues.
Good luck.

fixed
Rechecked plug 3,took cop off, pulled sparkplug, sparkplug was properly seated due to antiseize on last 4 or 5 threads, reinstalled plug and swapped the coil with another new one right out of the box. This fixed it. I started the motor and could feel the difference immediately. truck runs fine,no more shudder at that rpm range. Thanx all.KR
