I'd be patient on the genny start up, if its been sitting for a while you might want to do a couple simple checks before operating her, plus you'd want to do a good run cycle to get it working good again, they like to be under load, but enough about that for now.
I'd suspect wiring, probably a bad ground that they all tie into or something

Oh trust me once it starts up and I run it a few seconds I will hook the power off our solar system to it so we can charge our batteries just to make sure it all works I won't let it run without a load. LOL That's just how it is when you live out in the backwoods.
That's what I am thinking but I am also wondering about bulbs. I know sometimes they set them up all on one circuit and if one goes out they all go out. I know that somebody put 1157 bulbs in the reverse which doesn't work you have to run 1156 (ask me how I know my 88 F150 had one 1157 for the reverse and that one didn't work put an 1156 in and it worked great.) Not sure yet I haven't had a chance to get to it being I got a flat on my dad's 89 F250, our trail truck is giving us problems, and working on the house.

Well before you run it good I'd def put new oil and throw a filter on (if that model has a serviceable fitler), then probably run it for a half hour before throwing a gradually increasing load, but make sure you remove the load before shut down! You'll make a paperweight real quick.
Bulbs are easy to check, ohm em out. If they're open, no beuno, some resistance, still good
