my 2003 project
Hi All,
I just purchased a 2003 F-350 dually with the 7.3
I bout it knowing it need a lot TLC. Finally got the engine running well, at least in park after a long overdue service.
I bought it needing a rearend put underneath it. It has the big Dana 80, ford number 2C34-UC.
The closest one to me is about a 6 hour drive. is there another rearend that would bolt back up, or do I really need the 2C34-UC?
I can't rebuild the one that is with it because the end of the axle housing twisted off.
Any other thoughts or suggestions are apreciated
Thanks SBECK

you know, I'm really unclear about how this happened. This is how the truck came to me I got a heck of a deal on it, but its in pretty rough shape too. The axle actually sheared off while he was hauling hay. I've never seen an axle in this bad of shape other than an accident, with that being said somebody had never checked his bearings. The EX owners buddy told me the only thing holding the wheel on were the brakes.

well got back on Wednesday from KC, Wednesday night the rear end was ,ounted so I could get the truck rolled off the trailer. Tonight the brakes got up to par. engine is running great.
But I ran some codes off it because the OD OFF light starts flashing after a few seconds of the truck starting and running. they are as follows:
1. P0562- NO BIGGIE, IT IS THE lOW VOLTAGE WHILE CRANKING
2. P1280- NO BIGGIE JUST CHANGED THE ICP
3. PO713- TFT sensor high voltage
4. P0755- Shift Solenoid 'B' Malfunction
5. P0743- Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Electrical
6. P1754- Coast Clutch Solenoid Circuit Malfunction
7. P0232- nO BIGGIE, REPLACED FUEL PUMP RELAY
8. P0603- Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory Error - I think this was from it sitting over a year with dead batteries
9. P1746- Pressure Control Solenoid A Open Circuit
If I put the truck in Reverse, all is normal, except the blinking ODO light. If I put it in OD, the truck will shift into forward, but won't take off like it should with acceleration, almost like a slipping clutch. If I put it down into 2, it shifts into gear and will take right off with acceleration, so I know it is not the clutch plate.
any thoughts, are appreciated.

Okay, so easy fix, the Transmission connector on the passenger side wasn't even plugged in, it was zip tied to the shift sensor wire harness on the drivers side. Does anyone know how this solenoid harness routes? Also there is a small 2 terminal plug taped up with it not connected to anything, any clues for it?
