I ran the WVO in the vehicle's stock tank, using a custom heated fuel pickup. Fuel then traveled to the engine compartment inside a heater hose, with a VW heated oil filter put into service as the WVO's final filtering media before entering the IP. Lines from the IP to the injectors had tape heaters. Like my new truck's 7.3 IDI, the 3.0L 5 cylinder engine powering the Benz sedan was a pre-chamber, straight mechanical diesel motor.
Wow, you went all out. Sounds like the veg fuel was nice and cozy!

Yep, it sure was. I'm thinking to do something similar with the truck, and of course, my Ranger has the 3.0 FFV in which I'm running E85. Too hell with all these wars for oil!

+ local energy independence. No wonder nay-sayers abound. Shills perhaps?

IDK, all I can say is that when Henry built his T, it had been designed to run on corn, and that capability was present in even the Model A. When Rudolph built the diesel, he designed it to run on peanuts. Ford fought with Rockefeller and the U.S. ended up with prohibition. Alcohol production for fuel changed from then on out. Rudolph disappeared mysteriously while traveling to Britain to sell his veggie burner there, and within a year, his engine legacy was running on a waste by-product of John D's petroleum. The Middle East has been a strategic war zone just about ever since!
