Email notice no longer linked

This is going to be a sad explanation of the issue; in receiving email notices where member have responded to a thread I am linked to I can no longer open the email notice that will direct me directly to the thread, now when I receive the notice I have to open FTE forum thru my 'favorites' bar and then scroll down to the appropriate forum. Not sure if there's a box I need to check in 'user cp' menu??? Thank you in advance
