Wow, it's actually raining. That's something new.

Tell me about it.

It was 92* yesterday and almost 85* in the shade.

And where a friend and I went, it was up in a hollow about 4 miles in, and there was 0 air flow. No breeze.

The creek bed had dried up to the point that only the deepest ares had just a couple inches of water standing.

But that could be 2-300 feet between them and bone dry in between.

Our lake isn't low but there hasn't been any water flow out of it for about 3 weeks.

Two more weeks and things will calm down around here. The plan is to get back to work on the '53 and have it finished before the start of the next millennium. I may actually install the rebuilt, bent-up radiator and fire up the engine.

The guy helping with the body work/paint has already looked it over and plans to start on it in august. Wouldn't it be sweet to have the body back on and just be turning wrenches by winter?

Like I said before, just let us know when YOU'RE able to get a day off to host another meet, if you'd like.

I really enjoyed the scenery, etc while I was down there.

I'm thinking a Sunday in September would be good. We're busy most weekends but, like last time, Sundays can work.

I let my 6 month old German Shepherd pup run around in the shop for a couple of hours. What could go wrong, right?

I guess that's the seat for your truck??!!!!!

Wow!!!! Just wow!!!

I hope getting them fixed won't set you back too much. Perhaps they will take a dog for trade

Yeah, that's the old seat for my '53. I didn't plan to use it in the long run, but was going to use it when the paint is done until I built enough play money to do the interior. I guess my plan will have to change a little bit.

The dog has survived so far, but she's on thin ice.

Good morning Kentucky!

Welcome to the last day of the camp season. Of course every weekend from now to Thanksgiving is booked.

After the all out downpour of rain yesterday, the heat has receded a LOT here in Salyersville.

I'm just keeping on, keeping on...Trying to make a buck or two when I can.

We had some pretty good lightning ground hits, but no damage. There was plenty of rain but very little wind.

Looks like it's almost over for now.
