After realizing that Kelly Temp Services was giving me a long, expensive runaround to just ATTEMPT to get a job through them, at TMMK, I cut my losses.
It would've been 2-3 more months and about $250 in fuel to make the trip to Georgetown to do different assessments, etc.
Not gonna deal with that and possibly fail out and lose even more time/money.
So I applied to Amazon in Winchester. Pay seemed decent, and the job would be fulltime (Haven't worked a 9-5 fulltime job in a long time).
Today I scheduled my appointment for an interview.
*********************************************
This is a Plan A, that'll give me work and if things work out, allow me to move to Morehead (Shaves a literal hour/ 45 miles of driving each way) and puts me in a city I actually like.
Plan B is to go on and take the placement assessment for the Millwright's Union in Ashland, in Sept. and if that works out...Cool. Moving up to a better job, payscale, etc.
If I don't pass it and have to wait an additional 3 months to re-take the assessment, then I still have my job at Amazon, and hopefully be moved, etc by December.
Cross your fingers guys. I'm trying as hard as a broke guy can.
