I thought the F 350's stayed leaf and the f250's had coils. Or is that just up to 06?

05+ were coil spring

The 99-04 were leaf spring and unless it was a dually, 99-01 were all dana 50 front axles(f250 or F350) But different perch width that the 80-97 trucks, custom spring hangers, you need a custom track bar and custom track bar mount. They still have the POS unit bearings(unless you spend $1200 on the DYNATRACK bearing setup) Overall, a bad idea.

But they still have the metric pattern. And putting adapter/spacers on the unit bearings is not a good idea. 05+ duallys went to a 8 on 200mm pattern

I typically sell Dana 60s for 850. Matter of fact i just sold one on monday. I try to keep 2 in stock at all times

Brad, did you mean to say the front axles were D60? Rather than D50?

but how much worse are adapters on wheel bearings then not changing lube and greasing them every 100k? or 36" tires for that matter

Negative
99-01 were all Dana 50 In F250s, F350s Single wheels and Excursions. ONLYDuallys got Dana 60s

Then in 02 F250s and F350s got Dana 60s, but the excursion kept the Dana 50
Also the excursion kept the leaf springs till the end of production in 05

Did not know that. I thought the D50 went away when the TTB (finally) died.

No. They still used them. Almost identical to the 60 in appearance. The ONLY way to tell from the outside is the size of the pinion nut

Okay guys. I found.a great donor. 92 f350 idi 5speed( buddy is gonna take the tranny and other stuff for his 86 idi, auto to manual) 4x4.
I'm gonna use the springs with it and blocks so I get an even ride height.
Also looks like it has hydroboost, so might be doing that too, although I might need abs for that.
Full truck minus bed, grill and dash.
