Transmission Fluid Temp Custom PID for TorquePro
I have a 37' 2004 motorhome on a F53 chassis with Ford 6.8L V-10. I've just downloaded the TorquePro app for my Android phone, and will receive my OBD2 Bluetooth transmitter on Saturday. I'll use this setup to augment the minimal gauges in the dash. I'm particularly interested to have transmission fluid temp displayed for monitoring particularly during long or steep hill climbs. In the Custom PID selector menu there are two choices for adding a trans temp custom PID, a "Transmission Fluid Temp (Method 1)" selection, and also a "Transmission Fluid Temp (Method 2)" selection. Is one more appropriate for my year V-10 and the other? The disclaimer in the app puts the fear of God in you to not select a wrong PID. Thanks.

Received my Bluetooth transmitter yesterday and when to the MH today to connect up and see what I could get. Turns out that both of the Trans Fluid Temp PID's worked, so that's settled. I had also hoped that I could get engine oil temperature as well, but in this case, neither of the Ford Extended PID's s for oil temperature work. Any chance to read this parameter as well, or is it not available? Thanks.
