Part of my goal with my Comet was 100% mechanical aside from the radio. The Pertronix is in the gray area, I suppose. Pushmowers have a magnetic based ignition, so...
I work on computers and networks. The last thing I want to do on my time off is diagnose a computer problem on a fuel injection system on my fun car hobby.

i consider a pertronix unit one step up from points.
they work the same way, just never have to be fiddled with every 3-4 weeks.
with the exception of the one unit that failed, i have never had to mess with any of the units i have installed.
points on the other hand, on the cultivator tractors on the farm, they were replaced on average every 3 weeks.

so 3 week out of a set of points is pretty good. but put a pertronix in and never touch it again is even better.

And you think you get "honest answers" from the other networks ? They don't even cover the story if it pertains to what Obama is doing. All you hear is basically "lifestyles of the presidential family" from CBS, NBC, ABC, CNBC and CNN.
