I was attempting to change my spark plugs and every time i pulled a cable the spring that runs from the plug to the coil gets stuck on the plug and stretches out. Is there a trick for pulling these and where can i get just replacement springs?

 

The springs come with new boots.(make sure the boot you choose come wit the spring) If your boots are original I would replace all 10 boots and springs. I order most of my parts from Rock Auto.

The springs are supposed to sit on top of the plug not slip over so they usually don't stick. You can put a dab of dielectric grease on the end of the new spring to help prevent sticking.

 

The only trick is to plan on replacing the boot and coil along with the spark plug. I also order them from RockAuto unless I'm in a bind for time.
