I have a 2005 f-250 6.0 with 280,000 miles. What's the best oil?

 

I hate to say it ,but you just opened a BIG can of worms,But I'll bite and give you the best answer I can. Rotella t 6 is a great oil,it's cheap and readily availible at Walmart,so is Delo LE. Right now I'll be running Mobile 1 for a while cause I got a smokin deal awhile back for about 6 changes worth. You need to change it every 5000 miles with Motorcraft or Racor filters only

T6 for me. Can't say it's cheap but after much internal debate that's what I went with on my first oil change last month (or month before) and will be what I stick with.

 

I watch the sales,As long as it's a good Syn, I'll run it.Mobile 1 has been good so far.I wish I could get another oil deal like the last one.

Delo 400 15-40 for me.

I blend Delo 15w 40 and Delo syn 5w 40 and Dan is very happy on it... An interesting complimentary add pack between the 2, my guess is the semi-syn is in process right now...
