Have you tried a slap ala "Fonzi"
the unit was built in 86 so I don't think fonz's could bap that thing to life , besides the door gets slammed by the kids daily

belated fourth of july wishes folks! i have been on leave since the end of june i think? its been great. i go back to work on thursday afternoon. spent some time in ohio and lake tahoe. just got back late last night. we flew to and from ohio and drove to and from lake tahoe. snow white runs good. i was hoping to see NorCal Chapter FTE stickers on each ford we passed and passed us… didn't see a one! thought of you guys as we drove I80 and highway 50 to south lake.

hope everyone's week has been going well and uneventful. that jerky sounded good hank. i always think about getting a dehydrator…

cheers folks!

I have 3 Nesco American Harvest dehydrators that work pretty darn good. They have a little fan on the top so it speeds up the process

This is the one here but I`m sure they are pretty much alike. Those fans really help as it cuts dry time by 1/4 or so. If you go that route I have a pretty good recipe I can send ya or meet up and have a sud. I`ve done misc fruit and such but jerky is where its at

Good Morning NorCal...Sure glad it coooooled off a little yesterday. It's been around 100 degrees here an awful lot, and since this is the "remodel summer", the cooler day was welcome indeed.
Hope you all enjoy the day.
