Grinding Niose

I have a 1997 F250, 7.3, auto trans. Yesterday while driving I noticed a loud grinding noise underneath only when I let off the gas pedal. While I am gving it gas it goes away. Any Suggestions?

I'd say check the carrier bearing, if you have one.

Yup, that would have a two-piece driveshaft and a carrier.
