Still Looking

I've been looking for a '75 or older F-Series. Haven't decided on a dent vs bump vs 60s. My ideal truck would be a 4x4 super or crew, but it may be a while before I find something like that in my price range.

All that being said, anyone have any opinions on this?

1972 F100 Ford Truck

EDIT, not the right section for this one but was eyeing it as well. Not original obviously:

Yeah, the 72 is much better techology. Hopefully it has PS, PB, and discs. Body is relatively good and at least all the trim is present. Good luck on the hunt.

The 72 had some pretty bad rust on doors and tailgate was trashed. Cool original paint and interior though. Unfortunately it had a few problems that I didn't want to deal with at this price: bad exhaust leak, leaky tranny, leaky motor, missing gas tank. Had an issue starting her up and keeping her running, oil pressure jumps up high. I know it's hard to be picky this cheap but I'm sure if I'm patient I can find what I want.

They both have potential but I think they could be better priced since you said the 72 has all those issues. For the location your looking in and around a 2,000 price range you should be able to come across a fairly clean driver. Might take alittle while though. You really need to pick what body style you want as they are very different through the years as far as the (luxury) items go. And what body style you like best. Good luck on your search.

Factory assembled Crew Cabs introduced mid-year 1965, Super Cabs introduced in 1974.

Be aware that CA smog tests all 1976 and newer vehicles.
