How old is she now, Ken?

 

She'll be 14 on Monday...the 7th. I rescued her when she was 1 1/2...on the way to be euthanized. Her previous owners abused her and couldn't handle her.

 

She's getting up there. That's awesome, bud, that you saved her! Shadow is 10, he's getting pretty old also.

 

I've got a Shadow also..."Puppy In The Can" on my coffee table. He was my father's dog...had to put him down at 13...some sort of spinal tumor. Dogs are the coolest creatures on earth!!!

 

You know it. I don't think I could live without a dog!

 

I really can't imagine being without one either.

 

Buddy is the one that really freaks and he was fine with storms and loud noises up to about 6 years ago when we lost our first basset and then Buddy's littermate in a 6 month time frame. Since then he freaks out, is on daily meds to help calm him down and wears a Thundershirt when we know that it will storm. He is 11 and he has a heart murmur, so obviously we are concern for him.

I tried a Thunder Shirt for Cujo...no way no how she'd let me put it on her. During storms and fireworks she would try climbing over furniture to get to a safe place. She finally started heading to the 1/2 bath...small...dark...no windows. It was her safe haven.
