Just bought the Scantool MX Wifi and torque pro. Thanks to all the hard work in this thread I was up and running with cheap Samsung tablet and the wifi scanner in half an hour. I'd rep you again but the rep gun is all out of ammo.

And I just wanted to pass along that the Scantool MX wifi module worked with Torque Pro no problem so it is a very viable option if you want to use wifi rather than BT for commo. No rooting or jailbreaking required.

I went with wifi because I may want to use my laptop with the software that comes with the Scantool modules. I can use wifi with my phone, tablet, laptop and home computer. I don't have BT on either the laptop or the desktop.

Again, many thanks to everyone who has gone before me in this thread. Another great example of why spending a few bucks here to support FTE is a great investment.

so maybe I don't need the duplicates.

here is a version with all the dups removed and none of the items are labeled. this assumes TP will do the conversions in all cases..
the calc dslr is coded to miles.
had some more updates overnight..

added
Exhaust Back Pressure
Distance Since Last Regen Average.. will be interesting to see what that looks like
and trans temp with a different algorithm.

I left the old one as Trans Temp 2. (so your displays will automatically use the new one).

same test version https://www.dropbox.com/s/r5bbnb6uva...V1.20.apk?dl=0

Some have asked for the name strings to start with 6.7:, what does everyone think? I personally don't like it, but I'm only one guy.

Hey everyone I have been lurking for a bit and got my ODBII module and purchased torque pro. This addin is awesome! Thanks everyone for the hard work!

Is anyone else seeing some odd data coming for the Alternator 2 sensor? It seems to mostly sit at 5.4% which is a bit weird. Is the percentage suppose to represent the total load on that alternator or total capacity? Do our trucks have any rear differential temp sensors?

do you have a second alternator? I don't, didn't try the pid.
I would have thought it would be load..

the new trans temp doesn't seem right, and now the old one doesn't work either. anyone else seeing that?

Yes, I have two alternators. Every now and then it will go up to about 19% but it pretty much just sits at 5.4.

Yes, GEN MON is the calculated load from the GFS wire on the alternator. Both alternators are controled by the PCM on the FDC wire to set the voltage. Pecentages < 6 indicates the alternator is present but unused, 0 is not present.

The trans temp equation might need to be different for the 15+. What does It look like on your '13?

I think there was a typo in the new algorithm

(( signed(A) < + B) / 16 (same as *5/80)
think it SHOULD be
(( signed(A) < 8) + B) /16
<8 is the same as *256, except the sign might be lost)

the old algorithm was
(( signed(A) * 256) +B) *(9/80) + 32

right now both are just displaying 32.

Just throwing some data out here. Mix bag between mine and other's equation. I like the Tire pressures and I guess I'm going to have to use the Plugin to see the other PID equations and configurations.

DEF = 3.1
IAT1 = -4.0
IAT2 = 57.2
Air Temp = -14.8
Soot % = 65.7
DSLR = 482.4
RPM = 598.5
Fuel Rate = 1.8
ECT 1 = 150
EOT =154.4
TFT = 136.2

Not sure why 3.1 for DEF, I had the recall done and then I had 485 miles warning. They did fill it up while I was getting the flash done. The DEF warning took time to reset. DEF was .8 till it reset this morning.

IAT2 not sure where this sensor is loacated?

Sam is there a way to look at the PID data before installing them?

I can't edit my post.. the first char of a line with # is treated as a comment line (only for trans temp original)

My DEF shows 3.1 as well. Filled in November I think, haven't really gone anywhere since, maybe couple 100 miles total

Not Sam but if you download the apk, change .apk to .zip, and unzip it you'll have several files and folders. In the "assets" folder there is a file called "pidlist.csv". It contains the PID data.
