Correct forum for F53 chassis questions

New in here and my specific interest is questions and answers about Motorhome Class A Chassis F53 (2008).

It would be appreciated if I could be directed to the right location.

Welcome to FTE. I moved this to the large truck section. I think that is where you can get the best help.

So what are your questions?

The Super-Duty forum would be better (the F53 is a stripped Super Duty chassis), this one is more for the large, commercial trucks.

Looking for some Troubleshooting tips with the stock Ford A/C system. One day it works, the next it doesn't. I am going out with a meter to check the fuses and maybe the switch assembly and someone local phoned up and said it might be low pressure in the system itself which would stop the clutch from engaging. So more ideas would be great before I go out to the RV. Waiting for the rain to stop for a while.

See the HVAC FAQs to get oriented.

Link is in signature below.

For specific further assistance you will need to specifically identify your F53 (year, engine, transmission, etc).

I'd say for a F53 chassis, ford was NOT the mfg of the AC system. Ford may have shipped the chassis with a engine mounted A/C compressor but I'd bet that might be all.

It is not the two A/C motorhome units that I am referring to; it is the system mounted to the Ford V-10 engine. I understand that more info is required about engine and transmission. I will see what I can dig up on it.

I'll bet Ford didn't design it, or build that AC unit.
You might try one of the larger RV forums like iRV2 Forum | - RV Forum Community and RV News .
