Edge Evolution CS

Does anyone have any experience with these? They list specific results for your vehicle and they say my 2007 F150 w 5.4l will gain 35hp and 45fp torque. I hope these results are correct because for $440 it sounds very worth it. Would LOVE to here any feedback on this unit.

Edge products suck IMO. Had one on my Excursion and caused all kinds of problems, finally had to rip it all out and go back stock. Also have one on my 02 c/c and it has worked ok. Causes the truck to hiccup during driving sometimes. Not a big fan of Edge, but both of mine are diesels.

I also had the Edge mess up my 150 so badly that the module had to be changed and flashed. The Edge forced the ABS dash light to remain on. This programmer might be ok if truck is completely stock but sucks once lifted, larger wheels and gears are changed. Spend the extra money on a programmer from 5 Star or PHP with custom tunes.

Your best best is going to be with tunes that are custom. As was already mentioned, if you are to change out other things, it won't be able to compensate. Also bare in mind, the tunes that are on your Edge, Bully Dog, Banks etc are one size fits all type of tunes. Some like how vehicle handles with the tunes, some do not.

Going custom (as long as you go to a reputable tuner (person)), precludes that and plus it gives you the ability to expand later if needed.

If it's the Ex in your siggy, off the shelf tuners were not kind to the 6.0s. On mine, I had a Bully Dog and my truck didn't care too much for it. But I had to get rid of it anyway, because it wouldn't have been able to compensate for all the other mods that I was planning for it as well.

Very very true. You get what you pay for that's for sure.

If you want to do this type of stuff on your truck, but you have very real budget concerns, I would advise against doing this. You run a very high risk that something will break on your truck and if you are unable to set aside money for the fies), then I just wouldn't do it.
