4r70w puking fluid

I need a little guidance on my 4r70w issue. At 65+ mph transfluid pukes out the left front somewhere at first I thought it was from the venttube. As it was getting on the front cats (2000 Mountaineer V8 AWD) I added ahose extension to the tube. I also replaced all the trans fluid with Mercron Vdrained the pan and converter old fluid was still red and not burnt and correctlevel. Checked the inside of the bellhousing no fluid. Now it did this again lots ofsmoke from getting on the cats so when I got home I checked the vent tube hoseextension I had added all wet with trans fluid on the outside dry on the insideso I know it is not coming from there and left front of trans covered in fluid. Trans shifts fine up, down and holds whatever gear it is , no clunk or noise.Before I start guessing what the issue is anyone have experience with this and fix it?

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

I use this vehicle as a daily driver to and from work notowing no hot rodding and mainly 65mph. I don’t have a trans temp gauge so don’tknow if it is overheating fluid is still red.

I'm having a hard time picturing where the fluid is coming from. But here's a thought. Power steering fluid on every Ford that I've owned (and even for my 2007 Toyota) is transmission fluid. Are you sure this is coming from the transmission and not somewhere in the power steering system? Don't overlook the boots on the steering rack. If the rack seals leak, the boots will fill up with fluid.
