Hey guys, I just got introduced to this forum (the NorCal Chapter) a few minutes ago. Wish I'd have looked around more before.

Anyway, hello everyone.

I have a 94 F350 CCLB with a 7.5L. It is looking like the head gasket on the driver side needs replacing, thus doing both for obvious reasons. What I would like to find out, is if there's a decent Machine shop somewhere either in Elk Grove South Sac area or even the Sacramento, Rancho Cordova, Folsom area. I work in Folsom, but live in Elk Grove. I drive down Grant Line every day so I can basically branch off into any part of town from there.

I would like to see about getting the heads reconditioned while I have them off. I just don't know the cost and if I have the budget for it or if I just fix the gaskets now and do that down the line. Would suck to have to pull it all off again, but if i don't have the money I don't have it.

Last place I used was Ron Gross in Galt in the late 90's-dont even know if they are around anymore to be honest, dont know quality since then either. someone will be along shortly for you

Anyhow. I use Crackaway machine just off of Waterman rd in Elk Grove. Rick there did all of the machine work on my Cummins below.

 

I think there is a glitch in the system. I`m sure Jimmy will help you when he gets up.

 

Its a bit of a drive for you but Hust Bros. in Marysville does great work.
