Scott, hang in there, our 1st greatgrandson arrived 5 wks early on 7-31-13 at 5 lbs. Now almost walking on his own, he is a thrieving, eating everything he can get his little hands on and is already Pa paws little man. I know how hard it is not to be able to hold them and just tell him it's going to be OK but it will and the 1st time you actually do get to hold him you are going to melt like a pop cycle. Good luck and stop worying cause prayers are being sent, Garry

Our prayers are with you. I just wanted to say that we had been through this with a son and a grandson, and preemies are not nearly as serious as they once were. I see that everyone has beaten me to the punch. I hope that our prayers and our common experiences are some comfort. (Both my boys were fine in no time.)

Prayers and good thoughts from our family to yours. Give him a few days and he will be doing good im sure.
Both of my kids where about 4&1/2 weeks early and my first was sent home with the tanning bed (high billy
Reuben? Sp levels) we didnt sleep a wink for a week and a half because the little mask over her face (eyes) to shield from the lights would slide down over her mouth and nose so we were constantly checking and adjusting it.
My second was 4 lbs 15 oz and very stubborn and wouldnt eat. He lost quite a bit of weight from there and was nearly put on a feeding tube but we got him to start eating just in time. He still is a stubborn eater now at 9 yrs old come to think of it.
