Exclamation need help

Hello to all i am not sure if this is the right place to ask this but could not find anywhere else so I have a 1991 ford f150 4x4 shortbed Dual gas tanks Dose any one out there know where i can get replacements cross members for the chassis I am having a really hard time finding anything out side a junk yard I cant belive either that no one elses has this problem because of the rust that attacked this chassis please anyone any help is greatly appreciated

So why didn't you get the ones in the junkyards? You should be able to use a crossmember from any '80-96 F-series or Bronco, depending on exactly which crossmember you need.

need help

Well i was hoping to find them outside the junk yard but i doubt that will happen The junk yard ones are not that easy to get out they are on the ground the beds are still on them and no access to power tools there so was hoping for another solution

The yard guys shouldn't mind forklifting one for you, and even carrying it up to the building so you can plug in your grinder to cut the rivets off.

need help

HEY!! Run down to your local Home Depot or other good hardware store and pick up a couple of sections of angle iron. Cut to length and have someone weld them in for you. They are pretty thick and if you use the rubberized undercoating, you'll never have to worry about it any more.
