I Feel like a kid on Christmas Eve!
I'm taking delivery tomorrow of my new '14 F350 CC DRW Lariat 4x4! I'm trading my current truck, '09 F350 CC SRW SB Lariat 4x4. Its been a good truck, but the new one should be much better suited to pulling my 14k# 5er (no more sliding hitch for one, yahoo!). I'm looking forward to being the proud owner of a new 6.7 PS! I Don't remember being this excited about purchasing my 09. This will be my 2nd Super Duty

I remember seeing 500 miles in one spot on the manual, but I also saw it say 1000 miles in another spot. I don't remember where or what it was in regards to.
We drove mine over 1000 miles round trip to my parents the week after getting it (not towing anything) to make sure either way.

Break-in
You need to break in new tires for approximately 300 miles (480 kilometers). During this time, your vehicle may exhibit some unusual driving characteristics.
Avoid driving too fast during the first 1000 miles (1600 kilometers). Vary your speed frequently and change up through the gears early. Do not labor the engine.
Do not tow during the first 1000 miles (1600 kilometers).
Same for my 2012, page 6

The diesel supplement is where you want to look.
NEW VEHICLE BREAK-IN
Your vehicle does not need an extensive break-in. Try not to drive
continuously at the same speed for the first 1,000 miles (1,600 km) of
new vehicle operation. Vary your speed to allow parts to adjust
themselves to other parts.
Drive your new vehicle at least 500 miles (800 km) before towing a
trailer. Make sure you use the specified engine oil by checking the engine
oil specification chart under Engine oil in the Maintenance and
Specifications chapter.
Do not add friction modifier compounds or special break-in oils during
the first few thousand miles (kilometers) of operation, since these
additives may prevent piston ring seating. See Engine oil in the
Maintenance and Specifications
