All depends on how the truck lands, every roll over is like a snow flake..every one is different. i made a very quick google search to find what i did. It is a much newer design as stated though.
Without a doubt. To come up with any conclusive evidence you would have to throughly analyze many different accidents and see if there are in fact any trends.
Even if the chances of it crushing like that slim, I think we can all agree that any improvement that makes it safer would be a good thing. There is obviously room for improvement here. Hopefully Ford took some of that safety technology it had from owning Volvo and is applying it to new vehicles. Combine that with the off-road technology from Land Rover and its traditional American muscle, I'd say it would be a pretty good combination.
In addition to ventilated seats blowing air out, a switch to reverse the fan and suck air in and through an activated charcoal filter to neutralize ..... well .... you know. For those mornings after the beans/cabbage/sausage/beer bash.
A better channel for rain/condensation off the cab so it doesn't dump on my armrest and electric controls when I crack the window! And if they had the activated charcoal seat option, I wouldn't need to crack the windows!
I'd still would like a gas engine that has more power/torque than the almost dinosaur age v10. The 6.7 diesel was a huge improvement and power for diesel and the eco-boost is is impressive for a V-6, why do they still have the the old 6.2 v8? It was impressive years before it was ever in production and they talked about it for a loooong time but now it's just another v8 that dose OK and isn't all that amazing even compared to the new 5.0......
by far I think FMCO needs to start upgrading the Super Duty line like they have done with the F150 line. traffic lane avoidance, enhanced electronics on the dash.
