I have been looking for a good repair manual for my 87 300 f150. Any suggestions?

They might be expensive(unless you find a used set on ebay), but I would say the 1987 Ford light truck shop manuals are the best. I went ahead and bought a new set for my 1990 Bronco last year, and they've helped me out a lot better than the others I've bought. You might also try picking up a set of 1987 Ford Light Truck Specifications Books. I found a good condition set for the 1990 model year,on ebay, about a year ago. You might try helminc.com to see if they have them in stock, or search on ebay. Hope this helps.

For pre-'92 trucks, I prefer the Haynes manual, but a '92/3 truck & van Ford/Helm service CD will still have a LOT of info applicable to your truck (and every other Ford truck & van). You can get one delivered for ~$10 off eBay.

If you haven't purchased one yet, run down to your library, check them all out and see which one is right for you and your vehicle. I did it and liked the fact that if one doesn't cover what I need, I'll find on that does. I don't spend any money, unless I make copies.

This was passed on to me by another person on this board:

It's great to look up a particular process and then printout just what you need.
