High Trans Temp-Need Help
Posted on a couple of different boards and still no answer.
I googled my problem and saw ARMY350 on this board had this issue in the past. I have messaged him. If anyone else knows how to get in touch with him please let me know or send him this link.
My problem is that on my 2011 F250, with MiniMax, Full Delete, intake and exhaust, the trans temp gets as high as 230 degrees. I have 85K miles on it and have had the tuner for about 50K. While driving down the freeway with no load my tuner defuels due to 220 degree trans temp. I took it into the dealership and they replace the TFT(transmission fluid temp sensor) and then 3 days later it is 230 degrees. One was sitting in bumper to bumper traffic and the other just driving. I don't race, I just like the tuner to enhance mpg. So I take back to dealership and they have it for over a week, and they cant find any problems with it. They tell me they have checked everything and have been trouble shooting through the engineers at ford. Engineers say nothing is wrong and to release the truck to the owner, me.
I then have transmission flushed and am still having the issue. I have talked to the company that installed the tuner and they have not seen this and I have also talked to other performance shops that I have used in the past. I feel that something is wrong, but don't know where to even start.
Any recommendations, advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
