Final test fitting the duct. Will trim some off the foreword end. The flange sticking up thru the hood is a factory feature to prevent water from being sprayed through the scoop into the engine.

Over the top.....do you guys just search out rare parts to load this build up with anything and everything Ford 'could' have put on this truck? Haha
You must sit around (correction - discuss as you work) "...I wonder what those holes would have been for?". "I donno, let's find out and get one."
Haha
Very impressive guys.
Love this build!

Just finished catching up on this build. All I can say is WOW!!
That is one nice truck. Makes me want to get started on my grandfathers 76.
You guys have done an amazing job. Can I ask where you are sourcing your nos parts? Can't wait to see the rest of this build.

How does the e-brake parts differ from '73 to '77?
Just thinner metal?

I'll be using an Explorer rear under my '72, so may go that route.

Lokar gets expensive, haha.

This older style is cool, it came with the 73 cab, I thought it was heavy duty. So we adapted it to the build.

Drilling nice precision holes is actually easy with a greenlee punch:

Refrigerant line pass through in original location.

Main Firewall pass through.

On page 1, you brought you first donor cab home in the box of your truck. Just curious how you loaded it, two guys?

I think we had some "help" from the seller. He kept telling us that it wouldn't fit and we couldn't lift it. Two Nords is all it takes to lift a cab.

Lol!
I'm just concerned with the added height of my F350 and only two guys. Haha
When I was building my '54...I got the cab in the back of a Ranger I had at the time, so there's no doubt it'll fit.
