Factory 6 disc changer.

On a 2000 F-250 super duty, does anyone know where the factory 6 disc changer is supposed to mount? I have the factory AM/FM/Tape/Single CD, but, it is also able to control the 6disc changer. I have the changer, just don't know where it mounts.

Thanks

I have one that mounts into my center console. I just put the cd changer up for sale because I don't know what I need to hook it up to my head unit. I've got the same year truck and head unit as you. You can see pictures of my cd changer in the marketplace. It has the mounting bracket attached.

I have a 08 Expedition and my 6 disc in dash player keep saying load error. Tried disconnecting battery to see if it'll reset nothing happened. Anyone had this issue.

Mine had a CD stuck and the dealer told me that no one still makes a 6 CD changer, because of so many issues with them.

I had a Pioneer AVIC 6000 NEX installed.

My 05 Excursion 6-disc CD player also says "CD Error". I had 6 CD's loaded and it kicked #4 out saying there was an error with the disc. After I pulled it out the player still shows a disc in all the slots. And it will not play any of them.

So, I am now looking for an after market Double DIN Head Unit that has the ability to tie in with the steering wheel controls as well as the overhead DVD player. I also want a backup camera (and maybe a front camera as well) and XM Radio. I don't really care too much for GPS/NAV but if it has it then I'm OK with it.

Any experience with getting this set up, installers that know what they are doing in the OKC area?
