t-shirt progress
hi all,
i've gotten a positive response from a possible vendor. they're a company called Big Frog of houston. they're located on Hwy 6 north. i have an appointment to meet with them on friday, 6/27 at about 1pm.
as briefly explained to me, here is the info i've gotten so far.
it's digital printing. no minimum to buy, no contracts.
no templates involved. mostly, we'll be paying for the quality of the shirt. brand name and such. the price will include first print. they will do some samples to see how it turns out.
it's basically a digital form of dye-ing the shirt. hence, when the shirt falls apart, so will the print. it's not embroidered nor is it screen print. it's not iron-on and from what i've heard so far, it seems like it will last a good time.
also, there will be a discount if we buy in bulk. they have sizes up to 6xl, i think. i don't think tat there's any need for 6xl, but it wouldn't hurt.
also, we can mix and match. we can do part of our order as t-shirts, and some as button up shirts and some as polo shirts, and there won't be an extra charge, because they don't have to start another template.
i'm gonna meet with them to learn more about the process and to get some logical price numbers.
they already love tat design which i presented to them. since it is digital, they claim that it will be more vibrant with lighter colors, e.g. yellow, pink, white, light green, etc. basically, a contrasting color that will allow the design to stand out.
here's a link to their website. Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More of Houston
oh and before i forget, if anyone in the houston area would like to meet me and sit in with them, that would be fantastic!
have a great week everyone!

here is the latest update i got from my meeting with the print shop on this past friday.
after looking at all possible colors and having the shop do a whole bunch of sample prints, it would seem that we have our choices.
the 3 colors are Sand, Grey, and Pink (ladies).
sizes range from S to 5XL. they also have kids sizes and actual toddler suits as well. (for those who want some for their kids)
shirt brand will be Gildan. their Ultra Cotton line.
price per shirt will begin at $16.99. however, the more we order, there will be substantial discounts, but i figured we operate from a high-end point, then anything else will be a bonus.
here are the pics.
also, i would like to add further, just in case someone else might want something more, there is also the option of getting polo shirts.
Polo shirts will come in 2 colors. Sand and White.
they will be similar to Nike's dry-fit. they will be part cotton and part polyester.
sizes will range from S to 5XL.
price for polo shirts will start from $20.99 per shirt.
Guys, let me know what y'all think. if all of y'all are in favor, then i will start taking a headcount and we will discuss how y'all will send money to me so we can get this done. in fact, i would like someone else in the houston area to meet with me so we can handle money and orders. my way of instilling a check and balance system.
good day guys!
