What is this connector for?

Yesterday I decided my truck needed cleaning. I got out the vacuum and decided it still wasn't clean enough. To make a long story short, by the time I decided it was clean enough, I had the entire interior out except for the headliner, and finished hosing 10 years worth of spilled 32 ounce coffees out of the carpet.

Behind the passenger kick panel, near the inertia switch, there's a connector with 2 wires, one brown and one black, and nothing plugged into it. The black wire has continuity to chassis ground. I thought it may be tied in to the dome or turn signal circuit, but I don't get power to it with either the dome light or signal on. There's no similar connector behind the driver side kick panel. Anyone have any idea what it's for? I can't seem to find it in any of the wiring diagrams I have.

I'll get a picture linked into the thread as soon as imgur starts cooperating.

I'd believe it, and probably wire it in that way, except the truck's a standard cab

And no, no power to it with the park lights on either. I was really hoping that's what it was. I could have used it to wire in some LED interior lighting at floor level.

Never did figure out what the connector was for. I got everything reinstalled, including some of the dog hair.

That's a funny picture.

In my electronic wiring diagram (searchable), all brown wires are parking lamps... except this one. If you had a rear seat with A/C, that connector would operate the blend door actuator that sends air to the back.

Thanks guys. I knew it would be way too convenient to have an unused power source sitting right there where I need it . . .
