Transmission's

Hey guys, new here. I own several 9th generation F series. Currently just bought '94 1/2 F-250 with 7.3 turbo. My question is will a transmission out of an '01 Stroker bolt up to my '94? If not, are bellhouseing abel to swap ? Or just get new TC and rebuild kit and be done? Thanks, any information will be appreciated

can't wait for the answer to this. I just bought a 95 van and just now came across a guy with a wrecked 2002 f250 with a recently rebuilt e40d. not sure if i want to spend the money or not as I am going to put a 4x4 conversion under it next spring.

The trans will bolt up, but the converters are different, and there are some other differences, too.

Your converter has four studs. The newer converter has six. I think you can swap the flex plates so that it will bolt up.

I think there are some differences in the wiring to the solenoid body. I don't have wiring diagrams to be able to check, you'll want to look into this.

There is an orifice in the pump body that controls the torque converter lockup speed. The 4R100 in the 2001 has a 0.250" hole, your trans has about a 0.030" orifice. If you leave the big hole there when the converter locks it will SLAM on. It isn't pleasant.

No, you did not. The last year the E4OD was produced was 1998. The 2002 has a 4R100. See above.

94.5 with an auto would be an IDI, unless someone put an auto into it. The 94.5 trucks left the factory with ZF5 manual trannys only. If you have the IDI, the flex plate bolt pattern for the Stroke is different.
