Sorry if I don't remember, but are you set up for monitoring yet? I'd be watching Fan rpm and seeing if it was ramping up at 206. You are in Miss. it's not as hilly as we are and I'm not even gonna' see those temps, empty on a hot day...
Do you have an EGR delete? is the EGR still plugged in?
Unladen I could head to Tahoe on a 90 deg day and stay in the 190s on ECT...

Sort of a hijack ...... I heard of an interesting test for a weak water pump. I had been asking some old-time mechanics at work about verifying a weak water pump. One said that he would get the engine fully warmed up and get the coolant temp at least 10 degrees hotter than the thermostat rating. He would then apply a fine mist of water to the radiator. With a healthy water pump, the coolant temp would quickly drop (in way less than a minute). I wouldn't want to spray a lot of water and risk hitting a hot engine with a large amount of cold water, but his approach sounded interesting.
I have heard of several ways to check the flow - ie from a disconnected heater hose for example - but that method didn't sound like it would tell you much unless the water flow wasn't pumping much of anything.
