boost and hp numbers

not 100% on my scan gauge but it read 18.5 boost and 334hp when i stabbed it today. in stock mode. ic boots blow off in performance mode. does this sound accurate? i do not know where i should be at with the mods i have. thanks.

In stock boost is limited to about 19, so that sounds right.

Those HP numbers are hard to trust. I dont know how accurate they are.
Its also not uncommon for boots to pop off if youre not prepared.

I wouldn't trust the HP numbers from a scan gauge - too much theory at play.

Boots: As I gaze into the crystal blue oval, I see yellow tape in your future. Riffraff Diesel has nice boots (with lower T-bolt clamps and plenum inserts) that won't blow. One time I forgot to tighten the clamp on the Passenger IC tube, and it took 30 PSI before it soiled my underwear.

I have both riffraff boots and inserts. I recommend both!

thanks for the replies. i only seem to blow off the passenger side ic pipe boots. bought a $170 set from ebay. i guess that was mistake #1.

Yeah... many learn this one the hard way. You got off easy with $170 loss, at least you didn't buy a mystery chip or injectors.
