Stupid Shock Question
Hey All,
I have to replace my shocks (front passenger side broke clean in half, believe it or not).
My question is about the rears though. One points forward, one points toward the rear. My other 2 trucks had both pointed toward the rear, and it looks like you can mount them either way.
So, is it better to mount them both pointing toward the rear, or does it matter?
Left this out, it's an '02 F150 FX4 Supercrew 4X4.
Thanks in advance.

That's a lot different than my '97!
On mine, the tops of both rear shocks lean to the rear, and they can mount no other way. No other frame bracket. In fact, where the bottom ends are mounted on the axle bracket, if one attempted to swing the shock's top end towards the front, the shock's body would quickly hit the axle tube, as the bottom mount is behind and lower than the axle tube.
Maybe someone with the same year and body will chime in. Ford shop manual info for that year would be the best.
