5.0/C4 Question

Will a C4 bolt up to a 94 Mustang 5.0 HO? We have an opertunity to pick up a fresh C4 for a great price and I am pretty sure that it is a bolt up but I want to confirm.
Thanks in advance.

It will bolt straight up to any Fox body 5.0 (87-93) so I say yes.

As long as it's a small block pattern bellhousing it will bolt up to any 65-95 small block engine. The tricky part will be to check the flexplate size the C4 bellhousing needs and be sure you have the right size 50oz flexplate to match the HO engine.

Just make sure that you don't have a C4 from a pre-65 car.....The early 289 equipped cars had a smaller bolt pattern (I used to have a 64 Fairlane with a 289).

Mike, I am just helping a friend with his truck. The C4 would not be my choice, an AOD has so may advantages for a cruiser but he is trying to save a few bucks.

OK, that makes sense. I knew it wasn't for your truck. I have a C-4 in the 56, it made for a good install, bolts to the y-block with a adapter and is small enough to not require any modifications to the car. An extra gear would be nice on the freeway but I avoid those as much as possible.
