1990 F-Super Duty with Flood Damage

I just revived a 1990 F Super Duty from a recent flood that went half way up the winshield. I was klucky enough to get all water out with multiple fluid changes before the water did any real damage.

I am trying to find interior parts for this old cab and chassis but everything I see that says Super Duty is late model. Should I be using F450 when searching for parts?

Does anyone know if a 1990 F350 and a F450/Super Duty standard can use the same interior components?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi overhaulin, welcome to FTE! Sounds like you have white a project on your hands. I'm going to move this thread to the forum that covers the previous generation trucks like your own, you will get a better response down there.

Good luck!

Your truck uses the same cab/interior as an F150-350 of the same year, and most stuff will interchange 87-91.

Yea , I was lucky enough to just replace the alt, coil, cap, rotor, wires, and plugs along with all the fluids multiple times, but she runs like a champ. Shes got 40 lb of oil pressure at hot idle. I am certain there are some water gremlins still waiting to haunt me on this but right now everything seems to be okay.

Thanks again for the suggestions!

I don't think you understand, with flood vehicles, especially if it went halfway up your windshield, and depending on if it was salt water or fresh water. You're going to start having problems with your fuses and relays and just wiring in general under your dash and anywhere the water hit. Salt water is more corrosive than fresh water but ultimately it's going to corrode your electrical connections. You need to pull everything apart and clean it and then grease it with a good lithium or dielectric grease, and replace and sensors, relays and fuses that are not water proof. Just because they have dried out does not means that it corrosion has stopped. It will leave you stranded one day.

Yea it was fresh water but to your point the corrosion has started and if I don't clean and grease it now it will certainly only get worse.

Thanks again for your help!!!
